Original Xbox 360 games cost a lot of money, around $50 each. Of course it’s not that much but considering that you will eventually drop the DVD or do some other accidental but undoable damage to it so that you won’t be able to use it anymore, it’s expensive.

If you have ever tried to copy an original Xbox game disc with your PC or Mac then you should already know – and probably that’s the reason why you’re here – that it’s simply not possible with everyday writing software. If you don’t believe me for some reason, go on and try it with a regular  dvd writing program and you’ll see that it fails. The developers introduced an illegal copy protection system that was very hard to hack, and although there were workarounds, they were difficult to complete and in most cases very annoying. And I won’t even begin discussing other gaming systems like the PS3, etc.

The great news is that the era of hot-swap disc copying is finally over. With modern programming techniques it is possible to make backups of your original discs with a few clicks of a button, just like with any other well-known everyday dvd writers. Before, if you put a X360 game disc into your computer’s drive  you couldn’t see anything that was because the above copyright protection. So you had to find a way to make your PC recognize the contents of that particular dvd in order to copy it. Finally your days of pain are over, as there are only three quick steps you have to do in order to backup your Xbox 360 games:

1)    Insert the game into your PC’s dvd drive, then it will make an ISO image file of it.
2)    After it’s finished with the ISO, insert a blank disc you’d like to write to.
3)    Wait until it finishes and there you have your instant free game copy!
