As technology has progressed so have its characteristics. A game cartridge for an original console system could fundamentally survive a hurricane without important adverse effects. They were carelessly handled frequently and remained playable all the way through. Digital media, however, is far more fragile. CD’s and DVD’s have a surface that is exhibited directly to the elements turning them more inclined to receive direct deterioration.
